Unchain Our Children has been designated as a Child Protection Organization (CPO) according to section 107 (1) of the Children’s Act 38 of 2005.
Wayne van Onselen, Founder and Executive of Unchain Our Children received the certificate of designation as a statutory organization from Department of Social Development on Wednesday, 11 December 2024 in Johannesburg.
“For 9 years Unchain Our Children successfully combatted abuse against children, taken care of neglected and abandoned and trafficked children. We formed partnerships with like-minded organizations, invested in training of social workers and law enforcement officials and shared food and clothing donations with places of safety. We prayed and believed and we are extremely grateful to finally have received the CPO certificate”, said Wayne.
