With Loftus packed last night, on the last day of January 2025, a crowd of about 30 000 souls received the encouraging message of God promising a future and a hope in times of storms. The passionate message was delivered by Louie Giglio, the well- known American Christian pastor and the leader of Passion City Church in Atlanta. He is also the founder of the Passion Movement, an author and public speaker.
A night of worship, praising God and Jesus Christ, His Son, our Saviour, we all realised that because of Him, we can continue. Looking at the Voyager 1 picture of earth, suspended in a sunbeam, 3 billion miles away, the insignificance of man dawned on us but, at the same time God’s awesome grace and mercy which fuel our efforts to reach, rescue and restore as an Unchain Our Children Team.
Much has been done to address the abuse of children over more than 10 years of UOC’s existence, but even more is awaiting us in the midst of a world in turmoil.
We were blessed and left Loftus with new courage, hope and our hands in the hand of God who directs our steps and determines our destiny. In our hearts God’s promise impressed:
“For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.” — Jeremiah 29:11.
