Part of the pre-event marketing for the Notties-100 fundraising event, presented by Breaking The Darkness with Unchain Our Children as beneficiary, taking place on 5-6 September in KZN, is sharing the event with potential participants, sponsors and volunteers around the country.

Recently Wane van Onselen, Unchain Our Children’s Executive Director and Amy Arnold, Specialist UOC Intelligence Operative and Investigator, managing counter human trafficking activities, together with Chris Dykes from Notties-100, spoke at the Four Wheel Drive Club of Southern Africa with about 30 people in attendance. Unchain’s purpose to combat and curve human trafficking, especially that of children, and the organization’s intervention and prevention strategies were explained as well as the upcoming Notties-100 event.

Breaking the Darkness presents Notties-100 for the second year in KZN where participants are challenged to complete the 100 km in 24 hours by walking, running or cycling. Shorter distances of 25, 50 and 75 are also available. Tickets for the event can be bought online at Quicket https://www.quicket.co.za/events/300023-notties-100/#/
The endurance event raises awareness for the fight against human trafficking and celebrates and signifies not only the courage of the athletes but also the courage of victims and survivors on their healing journey. The proceeds of the event will go to Unchain Our Children to further their work in combatting human trafficking by intervening with the purpose to stop this heinous crime in South Africa.
