Wayne van Onselen, Unchain’s Founder and Executive Director expressed his gratitude for 11 KIDS CARE bags, stacked with soft toys, clothing, colouring in books and crayons, sweeties, cooldrink, books and other comforting items, together with matching warm blankets. A special dignity bag for a mum was also donated. Driving their “Build a Bag Project Winter Run 2023, Unchain Our Children was identified as one of the NPOs/NPCs to be one of the lucky recipients.
“Our KidsCare bags are donated to registered organizations to be given to children as they are rescued and enter a place of safety. These bags will accompany them on their journey to recovery”, said Chanel, spokesperson for KIDS CARE.
The bags and blankies are essential and comforting for children en route to the places of safety Unchain serves, especially for babies/children that are abused, abandoned, and neglected.
