Unchain Our Children Operatives Team Brought Child Labour Trafficked Victim To Safety

In the mire of child trafficking statistics, saving one victim at a time is progress.  Such was the case when a joint operation between UOC and SAVETHEM operatives led to a successful extraction of a minor caught up in the most horrendous entanglement of labour- and sex trafficking in South Africa.

Standing tall and brave, the victim, still extremely traumatised, was brought to a place of safety where hope was visible again on the horizon.  A life was extracted from despicable abuse and unimaginable suffering.

An industry so atrocious as child trafficking is a reality in the lives of many young victims and the general public needs to be alert for the signs of possible trafficking taking place in the midst of them.

*“Traffickers recruit both foreign and South African victims through fake job advertisements on social media and classified advertisement forums, including advertisements for webcam modelling, hospitality, mining, and domestic work.”  (Excerpt from 2023 TIP Report.)

Unchain Our Children treasures teamwork and values each and every professional UOC Operative who contributes tremendously towards every successful extraction of an abused and/or trafficked child.
