The purpose of the community outreach, “Coffee with the Cops”, was to strengthen ties between law enforcement and the community. The station commander of Hercules SAPS reiterated the importance of cooperation between the community and SAPS and encouraged everyone present to be vigilant and report crime in the area.
We also enjoyed the opportunity to strengthen the already strong ties with SAPS Hercules, Sector 3 Hercules Community Policing Forum, Hercules Crime Watch and SAFREC. The SAPS Mounted Unit of Pretoria was also present and children in the community had the opportunity to ride the horses.
Unchain Our Children engaged with the people present and brochures and business cards were handed out. Metro Members and Correctional Services were also represented.
We thank all the members of the different law enforcement teams for their service and celebrate the good working relations established over the years.
